The African ChangeMakers Initiative (ACi) has officially opened registration for its 2026 Fellowship Programme (Cohort 8), a flagship continental leadership and skills development platform designed to identify, train, and empower visionary changemakers, innovators, and social impact leaders from across Africa.
The African ChangeMakers Fellowship turns ideas into action by offering participants targeted training, mentorship, and professional development opportunities in areas such as entrepreneurship, leadership, project management, civic engagement, and social enterprise. The programme is delivered primarily through a digital online learning format, enabling participants from all 54 African countries and the diaspora to engage regardless of location.
Running from 1–31 March 2026, the fellowship focuses on building the skill sets, tool sets, and mindset needed for fellows to make measurable contributions in their communities, sectors, and industries. Throughout the month‑long programme, participants receive training on key themes aligned with the African Union’s Agenda 2063 and youth empowerment frameworks.
In addition to core leadership development modules, fellows gain access to certification, a growing alumni network, mentorship and coaching support, and opportunities for collaborative idea development that extend beyond the training period. These components are designed to ensure that fellows continue to influence positive change across business, civic, and social landscapes long after completing the programme.
The initiative welcomes applicants from all walks of life, including young professionals, social innovators, community organisers, and enterprise builders, who are passionate about contributing to Africa’s sustainable development.
